Emily sings the soprano solo in the 34th season of the Boulder Messiah Sing-Along. Conducted by Robert Arentz, the  concerts feature professional soloists, a full orchestra, and a well-rehearsed chorus. The audience is invited to sing along during the choruses. Scores are provided. Also featuring mezzo-soprano Dianela Acosta, tenor James Baumgardner, and baritone David L'Hommedieu.

This hour-long arrangement by Mathieu D'Ordine delivers this beloved bel canto opera in a family-friendly package. Tenor Nathan Synder as Nemorino, soprano Cristin Colvin as Gianetta, baritone Matthew Peterson as Belcore, and baritone Todd Ressaguie as Dulcamar. Conducted by Mathieu D'Ordine; musical direction by Sara Parkinson; stage direction by Dianela Acosta.

Silent Auction begins at 7:00 p.m. 

The Boulder Opera is excited to bring you a concert of classic Opera scenes and arias to kick off our fifth season. Join us for a fabulous evening of pieces by Donizetti, Rossini, Puccini and Zarzuela, featuring the Boulder Opera ensemble orchestra led by Mathieu D’Ordine and Steven Aguilo-Arbues. Performers will include Eapen Leubner, Ariana Gibbard, Matthew Peterson, Emily Murdock, James Baumgardner, Carolyn Hoehle, and Dianela Acosta. This concert will also serve as BOC's annual fundraiser, working to support the season’s productions and educational programs. In addition to the performances, the evening will feature a silent auction and reception during the intermission.

Premiered in 1956 in Central City, the true riches-to-rags adventure of Elizabeth (Baby) Doe and Horace Tabor takes place during the pinnacle of Colorado’s mining history. An intriguing epic of love and loss, boom and bust, the story is set to beautiful music by composer Douglas Moore. This production is partially sponsored by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Boulder Opera is excited to present a classically-staged rendition of Mozart's 18th century opera buffa, Don Giovanni. Based on the legend of Don Juan, Don Giovanni chronicles the escapades of a dashing but lecherous nobleman. In the words of the conductor Andrew Crust, “Don Giovanni, which so many musicians, writers and artists have called ‘the best piece of music ever written,' is more than a wonderful score. It has everything: comedy, tragedy, intrigue, excitement, high drama--more than your average Netflix series. And what’s more, its messages are as relevant today as ever.”

Along with soprano Ruth Carver, baritone Tom Sitzler, tenor Jason Baldwin, and pianist Steven Aguilo-Arbues, come hear Emily sing selections from The Ballad of Baby Doe by Douglas Moore and The Impresario by Mozart. Selections from Tosca and Later the Same Evening will also be on the program.

Emily sings the soprano solo in Schubert's Mass in G Major with the Boulder choral ensemble Cantabile. Concerts are May 1, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Boulder, and May 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View United Methodist Church in Boulder.
